Axel Builds

I'm Axel, a freelance developer in Toulouse. I build web apps and websites, and I look after the servers they run on.

What I make

Web apps and their backends

I build all of it, from the database and the API to the admin screens and the pages your customers use. On the server I write C# with .NET and ASP.NET, or Python. The front is Nuxt and Vue. If your stack is already PHP, I'll work in PHP.

Websites

A site for your business or your club, which loads fast on a phone. I set up the domain and the hosting, and then I hand you the logins.

Linux servers and hosting

I run my own Linux servers and I host client sites on them. The setup is Ubuntu with nginx in front, apps in Docker, and certificates from Let's Encrypt which renew on their own. I also take over servers someone else set up.

Getting data out of things

I write scripts which read data out of websites, PDFs, scanned paper and APIs, and then I clean it into a spreadsheet or a database. For scans I use OCR. When a website changes its layout, I update the scraper.

Automations and AI assistants

A script which does the dull job every morning, or an assistant which answers your customers on WhatsApp or in web chat and hands the conversation to you when it can't help. I connect it to the tools you already use.

A note from the owner

Hi, I'm Axel. This is a one-man shop. When you write, I'm the one who reads it, and I'm the one who builds the thing.

I'm Spanish and I live in Toulouse. I work in English and Spanish, with clients wherever they are.

I use AI coding tools every day, which lets me move fast on a job. I take a few jobs at a time, and you talk to me the whole way through.

Projects we worked on

These are jobs I've worked on. I keep the clients' names to myself.

  1. A WhatsApp assistant for real estate agencies

It reads the leads coming in from the property portals, asks each person the questions an agent would ask, and hands the ones worth calling to the agent.

  2. An operations platform for a gas trading company

It tracks cargoes across several shipping lines and keeps the team's Excel and SharePoint workbooks live with the latest data.

  3. An event ticketing platform

The API, an admin panel for the organizers, the website where people buy tickets, an app for attendees, and the invoices. Built with ASP.NET, Nuxt, Flutter, Redis and Docker.

  4. A customer support platform with AI agents

AI agents which answer customers in web chat, with a builder for setting up the conversation flows. ASP.NET and SignalR for the live chat, and Qdrant for search.

  5. A public tender monitor

A scraper which checks the public tender listings and puts the new ones in a mobile app.

My own tools

I made these for my own work. They're free and the code is on GitHub.
